The House Bunny is a 2008 comedy film written by Legally Blonde screenwriters Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah Lutz. The film islated to be released on August 22, 2008 and stars Anna Faris, Colin Hanks, Emma Stone, Katharine McPhee, Rumer Willis and Kat Dennings. It is the second film that Fred Wolf has directed. Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison, will produce the film, with distribution by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Anna Faris expressed the idea of a Playboy Bunny who gets kicked out to a few companies, and Happy Madison picked it up, making it the first female dominate film Happy Madison has produced. Anna Faris also produced the film. The working title of the film was I Know What Boys Like. The film rated PG-13.
The House Bunny: SynopsisShelley Darlington, a Playboy Bunny, is living a carefree life until a rival gets her tossed out of the Playboy Mansion. With nowhere to go, fate delivers her to the sorority girls from Zeta Alpha Zeta. Unless they can sign a new pledge class, the seven socially clueless women will lose their house to the scheming girls of Phi Iota Mu. In order to accomplish their goal, they need Shelley to teach them the ways of makeup and men; at the same time, Shelley needs some of what the Zetas have--a sense of individuality. The combination leads all the girls to learn how to stop pretending and start being them.
SoundtrackThe first single off The House Bunny Sountrack is "I Know What Boys Like" by the movie's star Katharine McPhee. It features the rest of the cast with backing vocals. It also features Emma Stone & Kiely Williams. The single was released on July 25, 2008. It's also confirmed that a new song from The All-American Rejects, whose frontman Tyson Ritter is in the film, "I Wanna Touch You" will be on the soundtrack.
